| The 2006 Tampa Bay 56ers Christmas Party was held at the Radisson Hotel in Clearwater, FL. There were 46 people in attendance, including special guest, Skip Maklowski, owner of Skip's Florist Shop and Holiday House, a sponsor of the Tampa Bay 56ers. The evening started of with a get-aquainted challenge where everyone was given a sheet with blocks containing unique facts about each member, but without naming them. Each member had to fill in the blocks with the right name. It was interesting to learn new facts about fellow club members. The food was served buffett style and was delicious followed by sharing a cake prepared just for the occasion. After dinner, President Joyce Gillen recognized all the board members for their contributions to the club throughout the year. Joyce also thanked Sally Colangelo for all work in making the party a great success The evening concluded with each member attending being given a special Department 56 gift from the club. |
