TAMPA BAY 56ers
Building Villages Across The Bay
All members of the Tampa Bay 56ers
receive a club newsletter.  The
newsletter typically contains
announcements of upcoming events
along with a review of recent
happenings.  Often there are tips
and hints on displaying and
showcasing your villages.  News of
the latest releases and retirements
of village pieces from Dept 56 are
always featured.

There have been many changes in
the club newsletter over the years.
The first newsletters were often just
one or two pages of articles mailed
to each member. From 1993 to
1998, newsletters were mailed to
members 4 times a year.

In 1999, the club went to publishing
a bi-monthly newsletter.
Newsletters are often 12-16 pages
with color photos and graphics.

Starting in 2002 the newsletter was
published and mailed monthly.
Today, newsletters are e-mailed
monthly to those members with
internet connections.  For members
without an internet connection,
newsletters are still mailed to them.

In 2006 a contest was held to pick a
name for the newsletter.  From all
the entries submitted. the
membership selected  the name,
"Tampa Bay 56ers Beacon".
